Regardless if you are marketing a product or a service to your clients, or indeed if your clients are mostly other businesses (B2B) or consumers (B2C) you should make time to find out what your competitors are doing. You can do this in several ways, monitor their web site, social media channels, business networking, word of month etc.
How well do you know your main competitors?
Do you know what services / products they offer to their clients? Do you offer the same or are their clear differences that make your business better?
How well are your competitors doing? Do you get the impression the business is growing and that their revenues are up?
Be honest with yourself and take some time to draw your conclusions. Once you have an understanding of who your main competitors are and what they are doing you can start to identify ways in which your business offers a better service or product. This process can also highlight areas in which you feel you have to improve in order to out perform the companies around you.
Understanding your competitors and identifying areas that you are stronger can open the door to new opportunities.
Helping you market your business
I've worked developing web sites for over 12 years now and have seen many different ways in which sites market their products / services. During this time some of the most successful businesses are the ones who understand what the competition is doing and are using this information to stay one step a head of them. We invest time in to seeing what is going on around us, have you done the same?
Nexus not only offers our clients web design and development and printed marketing products but we also use our extensive experience in marketing products / services across a wide range of sectors to attract new clients.
